Dracula's Castle Tickets

Bran Castle tickets for November 2026: 100 lei adult, the Fast Pass and add-ons, opening hours, Monday noon opening, and which day trips include the ticket.

Updated November 2026

An adult ticket to Bran Castle, the castle sold as Dracula’s Castle, costs 100 lei for the Standard Tour, according to the castle’s own price list for November and December 2026. Children aged 5 to 17 pay 40 lei, students 60 lei and seniors over 65 pay 70 lei; children under 5 go in free. Most day trips from Bucharest leave the ticket out of the price. Trip2Ro’s Bucharest: Dracula’s Castle, Peles Castle, & Brasov Tour is one that sells an option with it included; the day started from $26 in current promotion (usually $52) a person, checked November 2026. During the Peles closure, the listing does not say whether the Peles ticket becomes a Pelisor ticket during the closure.

The short answer

On a day trip, buy the Standard Tour at 100 lei and add nothing unless you want the extra rooms; the Fast Pass is worth it only on a crowded summer day. If you would rather not deal with tickets at all, pick a day trip that sells them with the seat. On a Monday, remember that Bran opens at noon.

From the castle’s price list on bran-castle.com, read 3 November 2026, headed “Prices November - December”. The prices include 11% VAT and a 2% local tax. School groups of 20 or more pay 30 lei a pupil. Children aged 0 to 5, and people with disabilities or living in care institutions, go in free.

The castle’s ticket shop shows each ticket “from” its child price, so the Standard Ticket appears there as “from 40 RON”. That is not the adult price: the adult price is 100 lei. The castle asks for ID for child and senior tickets and a student card for the student ticket. No separate price list for January to March 2027 was published when this page was checked, so a visit in the new year may cost something else.

What each ticket covers

The Standard Tour is the castle itself: the rooms, the stairs and the courtyards, at your own pace. Souvenir photos, the Torture Rooms and the Time Tunnel can be added to it at the entrance, at 30 lei for each room.

The Royal Tour Plus Fast Pass includes both add-on rooms, and gives priority access on a separate lane up to the castle entrance. It also includes a photo of you, printed at the end of the Time Tunnel. The Guided Royal Tour Plus Fast Pass adds a castle guide, in English or Romanian, on tours that start every hour on the hour.

Most group day trips give you free time inside rather than a guide of their own: One Excellence Tours’ day from Bucharest includes free time to visit the castles independently. If you want the rooms explained by the castle’s own staff, the guided ticket is the 210 lei one.

From 1 April (summer season)12:00 to 19:009:00 to 19:00

From bran-castle.com, read 3 November 2026. The castle gives the closing time as the last entry.

The castle publishes no weekly closing day; Monday is the late start, not a day off. It lists one-off changes on its home page. On Saturday 7 November 2026 the gates close early for a private event, with the last entry at 15:00. On 1 December 2026, Romania’s national day, the castle lights its Christmas tree, with free entry to the Royal Park; tours of the castle that day are sold separately. Halloween is the castle’s biggest week: in 2026 it sold only Halloween tickets for the nine days around 31 October. The best time to visit Bran Castle covers the seasons.

Online or at the gate?

The castle sells daily tickets in its online shop, and its home page advises booking online in advance, especially for the summer months, to get the best price and a guaranteed entry. It publishes no separate gate price, so we cannot tell you how much more the gate costs, or whether it does. Outside summer and Halloween, a day trip that leaves the ticket to you loses little by buying it on the day; in July and August, buy it online for the date.

The rules worth knowing

The castle asks visitors to keep luggage to a minimum, and it has stepped up its security checks. Animals are not allowed in the castle or on the paths up to it, except service animals. Smoking and e-cigarettes are banned inside and in the Royal Park. The castle publishes nothing about pushchairs or step-free access; inside are winding, narrow staircases, so plan to carry a pushchair. The restaurant at the foot of the castle, Queen Maria’s Tea House, needs no castle ticket.

Peles, the other ticket

Map of the day trip from the Grand Hotel Bucharest north to Peles Castle in Sinaia, on to Brasov and Bran Castle, and back to Bucharest
The Grand Hotel Bucharest to Peles Castle, Sinaia (139.8 km by road), Brasov’s Council Square (186.3 km) and Bran Castle (217.0 km), then back to Bucharest.

Most day trips also stop at Peles Castle in Sinaia, whose museum charges 100 lei for an adult, or 30 lei at the smaller Pelisor (November 2026). Peles is shut on Mondays and Tuesdays and from 2 November to 1 December 2026, and its tickets are sold for time slots. Trip2Ro’s tickets option is the one to ask about in November: the listing does not say whether the Peles ticket becomes a Pelisor ticket during the closure. Is Peles Castle open? has the details.
